| Since our opening in 2003, Miss Edith Mae's has provided a delightful and enriching experience for all our guests. Many of you were our guests at the Wayne Ave location in Dayton Ohio, and we invite you to come back and join us at our new location. The owners of the tea room and gift shop are still the same. Please check back often for our special events and programs. We also invite you to our newly designed gift shop. Our Gift shop is open Tuesday thru Saturday 12pm to 5pm. Eden Hall is such a refreshing location and it is our pleasure to be located there. We were invited by the Eden hall Bed and Breakfast owners because they recognized the quality of our teas and our customer's patronage. Please note the tea room is private and is by reservation only. Please call for your reservation, There are no walk-ins. Please join us for our season 2007. Eden Hall will be decorated in elegant style. If you have never been to Edith Mae's then you are missing a wonderful experience. A delightful afternoon with your friends or family can be yours, and we have hats, Boas, and various Victorian clothing to add to your unique style. We invite you to enjoy yourself and relax in our tea room. Our tea room overlooks the Eden Hall courtyards and our lovely gardens. Getting Married? | Who was Miss Edith Mae Edith Mae was a real person. Actually she was two different people. My mother Edith and my friend’s mom Mae. Neither Edith nor Mae got to see our dreams come true, but we know they would both be tickled to have a tea room named after them. We use some of their old recipes and keep their memories alive with that extra touch of compassion and caring. My mother Edith would often speak of her English heritage, and the proper and mannerly meals her family would have; and how it was so much fun to get together and just talk . She would share stories of the old days, when life moved at a slower pace. We felt that Xenia was needing and missing just such a gathering place. We hope you will agree. Please come and be our guests for a different experience. Tea parties are not fast food and they allow you and your friends to just relax and get away from that daily grind. Oh, and just to make your tea experience with us complete, we have hats and boas for you to wear if you wish. We have many photo opportunities in the tea room, and throughout the Eden Hall grounds; with a professional photographer in house to take your pictures |

| Why Book A Tea Tea parties are a whole lot of fun, and can be magnificent affairs or laid back events. The parties are really up to you. But of course, Edith Mae will provide the place and food. We have hosted bridal showers, baby showers, birthday luncheons, and Wee Teas. We’ve welcomed card, poetry, and book clubs. Sororities and fraternities have reunited within our tea room; old friends have shared many stories, and new friendships have been made! We continue to welcome the ladies of the Red Hat Society© and Sunday school and youth organizations. Be sure to reserve a Christmas tea. The mansion and tea room will be decorated in glorious fashion. Did you get enough ideas from the above? No? Our staff can help you plan a theme tea party if you so desire. Edith Mae’s looks forward to planning and hosting themed teas in the very near future. |
Our Menu At Edith Mae’s we pride ourselves on generous portions of delicious HOMEMADE food and desserts. We know that is the way Edith Mae would have wanted it. Since we bake, make, and prepare the food fresh daily we do have a set menu. However, we will make every attempt to accommodate your parties needs. We can prepare a Vegetarian menu if you so desire. The menu is as follows: Menu Assorted Baked Goods ( Begin your tea with delicious cinnamon rolls and breads ) Three Tea Sandwiches – ( Each person in your party gets three different sandwiches. Call for selections). Fruit and Cheese plate Three Luscious Desserts (Each person in your party gets three different types of deserts*). Beverages Hot Tea Ice Tea Coffee ( Ironically, coffee was Edith and Mae’s favorite drink). *Desserts vary per tea party and we choose them. We do this because we want you to come back and have the feeling you are getting something new and different each time you come. If you have a special dessert request then let us know. We will try our best to make you and your party feel extra special. Edith Mae would have wanted it that way , and we want to carry those traditions on. |
